Photo taking in real estate

Ok folks, here is the deal; if you are selling your home please make sure your real estate agent hires a professional photographer! How many times have you viewed an MLS listing only to find bad lighting, poor camera placement and maybe even old Aunt Mable in the photo.

Considering that most prospective buyers will decide whether to view your home for purchase solely based on the photos provided, do you really want to leave the fate of your sale in the hands of an un-skilled photographer?

Many real estate agents are now seeing the value behind offering to have a professional photographer take the pictures for the listing they carry. A professional photographer is trained to know how to use natural or artificial lighting to maximize the shot. They can also skillfully place the camera at such an angle to capture the biggest portion of the room.

If you are not given the opportunity to have a pro photo shoot your home, consider hiring one yourself, or find an home stager that can offer you this service. Many home stagers will join the photographer (if they are not taking the photo) so they can work together to offer the best possible shots of your home.
