Before you sell...look around your home

One of the common mistakes homeowners make is not preparing their home for the real estate market. Before you call that agent, try to look at your home through the eyes of a prospective buyer, what do you see upon first glance when you walk in the front door? Remember that the 1st 30 seconds that a prospective buyer spends in your home will ultimately weigh in their final decision to buy.

I recommend as a 1st step to preparing your home for the real estate market that you spend some time in each room of your house and visualize what others will see when they walk into that room. Is it cluttered, tidy? Is it easy to imagine how different furniture will fit? Can you clearly see the walls or are they hidden by photos, extra pieces of furniture. De-cluttering is the 1st step to selling your home!
